There are two sculptures that my partner and I compared and constrasted. Mostly, we compared and contrasted tone, art elements lines, shapes , color, and theprinicple named emphasis. The art principle "emphasis" was compared and found that in the Yoruba sculpture, the horse and warrior were emphasized because it is made of the warm light colors which makes it more eye-catching. And, in the Claes Oldenberg's sculpture, the wholesculpture itself is emphasized because of the ordinary idea, yet really unique and modern look. In all, we conclude that both artists were successful in sculpturing as seen in the "Yoruba Headdress for the Masquarade," and Claes oldenburg's "OrdinaryClothspin."
